SUSTech co-sponsored China (Shenzhen)Integrated Circuit Summit

      On October 30, China (Shenzhen)Integrated Circuit Summit was held in Shenzhen. SUSTech (SUSTech) was one of the sponsors of ICS2020, in conjunction with the Shenzhen People’s Government and key integrated circuit groups. SUSTech Vice President Dongxiao ZHANG attended the summit and delivered a speech.

Dongxiao ZHANG said that under the current situation, it is increasingly important to cultivate integrated circuit industry talents. The Ministry of Education set demonstrative schools of Microelectronics, aiming to strengthen the integration of industry and education, comprehensively upgrade the talent training mode of the integrated circuit, and help meet the urgent need for high-quality talents in the integrated circuit industry. The SUSTech School of Microelectronics would continue to support the Greater Bay Area by conducting extensive industry-university-research among excellent integrated circuit enterprises and cultivating the integrated circuit industry's pioneering talents.

Three opening ceremonies were held, including the University-Enterprise Joint Training Base for Postgraduates, University-Industry  Integrated  Training Base, and Joint Lab for IOT and Perception of Energy. Dean of the Shenzhen Institute of Quantum Science and Engineering Dapeng YU and Dean of the School of Microelectronics Hongyu YU attended the meeting. The SUSTech School of Microelectronics cooperates closely with renowned enterprises to innovate cooperative schemes, co-establish joint laboratory and training bases which are equipped with professors and tutors of well-known enterprises with rich industrial experience and top-quality courses so as to cultivate compound targeted talents for the industry.

The summit plays a role in building an IC industry exchange platform, monitoring markets and applications, promoting IC technology innovation and application cooperation.
