On the morning of February 26, Associate Professor Shunichi Omori and Mr. Masakazu Takasu from the Faculty of Creative Science and Engineering at Waseda University visited the School of Microelectronics (Shenzhen-Hong Kong), accompanied by their research team members and over ten undergraduate students. At the welcome meeting, Associate Professor Fengwei An extended a warm welcome to the visiting faculty and students from Waseda University and provided a detailed introduction to the School of Microelectronics, covering its development history, disciplinary construction, research achievements, and talent cultivation. Associate Professor An also highlighted the latest research progress from his group in the fields of image signal processors and AI accelerator instruction set and architecture design, which sparked strong interest among the Waseda University faculty and students.
Subsequently, the Waseda University delegation toured the School's exhibition hall, research platforms, and the Intelligent Perception Integrated Circuits Laboratory, engaging in in-depth exchanges with faculty and students from the School. The visiting undergraduate students from Waseda University expressed that through this exchange activity, they gained a deeper understanding of the School of Microelectronics and voiced strong interest in pursuing further studies in China or participating in short-term exchange programs.
