The inaugural International Symposium of EDA (ISEDA 2023) was held in Nanjing, China from May 8 to 11, 2023. The conference was jointly organized by the EDA Open Innovation Cooperation Mechanism (EDA²) and the Electronic Design Automation Professional Committee of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, with co-organization by Peking University, Southeast University, Tsinghua University, and Xidian University. Huang Ru, Chair of EDA², Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and President of Southeast University, along with over 800 top academic experts, key R&D professionals, and students in the field of EDA from home and abroad, gathered in Nanjing for the event. Professor Yu Hao and Assistant Professor Chen Quan from our school were invited to attend.

Students from Assistant Professor Chen Quan's research group actively participated in the ISEDA conference. The group had two outstanding papers accepted, with Yang Dongen and Sha Yanliang delivering oral presentations on "Back-Scaling Based Exponential Integrator Method for Transient Power Ground Network Analysis" and "A Physics-Informed Recurrent Neural Network for RRAM Modeling," respectively.
ISEDA aims to discuss new challenges, showcase cutting-edge technologies, and provide the EDA community with opportunities to forecast future directions in EDA research. The symposium covers all EDA topics, from device and circuit levels to system level, from analog to digital design, and manufacturing. The ISEDA conference featured a strong academic atmosphere and diverse formats, including 5 plenary reports, 6 tutorials, 6 specialized debate sessions, 28 invited presentations, and 94 parallel session reports, along with various other activities such as roundtable discussions, industry achievement exhibitions, and competition forums. Numerous renowned scholars, experts, and entrepreneurs engaged in discussions on the latest technologies and future trends in the EDA field. The successful hosting of ISEDA provided an important platform and opportunity for technological innovation and industrial development in the EDA domain, which will positively promote the advancement of the domestic EDA industry.
