School of Microelectronics, SUStech Signs the Memorandum of Cooperation with Delft University of Technology

On the morning of July 3, 2019, the signing ceremony between School of Microelectronics, SUStech and Delft University of Technology was held in Conference Room 201 of the Administration Building of the school. Mr. Thomas Schneider, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of the university, Professor John Schmitz, Dean of the School of Mathematics, Electronics and Information of Delft University of Technology, and Professor Yu Hongyu, Dean of the School of Microelectronics, SUSTech, attended the meeting. The unveiling ceremony was hosted by the Associate Professor Ye Huaiyu of the School of Microelectronics. Researchers of Delft University of Technology as well as teachers and students of the School of Microelectronics witnessed the signing together.

Professor Thomas Schneider gave an introduction of the School of Microelectronics and the School of Mathematics, Electronics and Information of Delft University of Technology, respectively. He mentioned that the two schools share a lot of common views on solving common problems in the world, seeking innovation and development, and putting teaching in the first place. Thus, there is a great potential for cooperation in jointly training students and carrying out cooperative researches.  

Professor John Schmitz, Dean of the School of Mathematics, Electronics and Information of Delft University of Technology, said that Delft University of Technology is one of the renowned universities with a long history in the Netherlands, and the Southern University of Science and Technology is a high-level international research-oriented university and its ranking continues to rise. Cooperation with the School of Microelectronics in teaching, research and teaching staff is of great significance in promoting the local economy, continuous innovation and contributing to the development of human civilization.

Subsequently, Professor John Schmitz, Dean of the School of Mathematics, Electronics and Information of Delft University of Technology, and Professor Yu Hongyu, Dean of the School of Microelectronics, respectively signed the memorandum of cooperation as representatives of the two schools. After the memorandum was signed, Mr Thomas Schneider and Professor Yu Hongyu accompanied Professor John Schmitz to visit the sand table of the school.
